Filled with the Holy Spirit

Up to this point, Paul was experiencing and ignoring conviction of wrongdoing. Paul showed repentance when he asked what God would have him to do. He was doing more than just asking a question. He was ready to be a disciple and had a change of heart.

Acts 1:7,8 Jesus told his disciples they will receive power.

What is the purpose of the Holy Ghost in my life? What is the Holy Ghost doing? The purpose is to receive power to be able to witness for God.

John 20:19,20,21,22,23 The disciples were converted and Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit into them. The timing of this compared to the 120 in the Upper Room does not matter; what matters is that Jesus has the power to give Holy Spirit.

God doesn’t withhold gifts. There’s no benefit to delay asking for the Holy Spirit.
