Psalms 116:13 The cup of salvation contains deliverance and abundant life.

Thorns and Fruit

Mark 4:7,18,19 The plant didn’t yield any fruit. The moral of this isn’t in the thorns or the ground, it’s about bearing fruit.

If my tree doesn’t have fruit I should ask myself why. God will hold us to account at the end of life. I won’t be able to make an excuse or blame someone or something else for lack of fruit.

Mark 4:7,18,19

Luke 10:41

Matthew 6:25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33 Cares, riches, and lust of other things can choke productivity in the Kingdom. Seek the Kingdom of God first. This helps manage the cares.

There is a benefit to being happy and joyful. God will help me enjoy life and manage my cares.

The love of riches (acquisitions of material things or a material way of thinking) means all my decisions are made for my own benefit. I will feel entitled to something bigger and better.

Mark 4:19 Lust of other things choke the fruit.

What do the lusts of other things take away? Peace and the Kingdom of Heaven.
