Exodus 40:17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,28,30,31,32,33 God gave very specific instructions.
Leviticus 10:1,2 God told Moses what order He wanted in the tabernacle. He is particular.
1 Peter 1:15 Changing the design profanes the plan of God.
Hebrews 9:23,24 The tabernacle is a type.
Hebrews 6:18,19,20 God can’t lie. This is an anchor for the soul.
The death of Jesus opened a way to go into the Holiest of Holies. At the time of the crucifixion, the curtain separating the two rooms was torn from the top to the bottom. This inner room signifies a deeper experience with God.
The first, outer room had rituals for the priests to perform. The way I comprehend God is, at times, through ritual and tradition. In the Old Testament, God often says, “Remember.” This is not where I am meant to stay; ritual can create dissatisfaction.
In chapter 38 of Job, God spoke to Job about the things he doesn’t know about. God also told Moses he could only handle a small part of God.
2 Thessalonians 2:15 Paul tells Timothy to keep traditions.
Priests spent the day going in and out from outer court to the Holy Place room. The Holiest of Holies room is a place where I stop seeking the world and the world is shut out. Ritual and tradition don't help me in the most difficult times of life.
1 John 1:7 If each of us have a right to be in the inner room and have fellowship with God, we have fellowship with each other.
