Psalms 55:2 Sometimes God gives me more than I can handle so He can help me. Don’t try to carry all your burdens and life situations; cast some of the heavy cares and situations.

Accept Nothing Less

Renewel sometimes comes with excitement or nervousness.

Daniel 1:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,17,18,20 They had a new time of uncertainty. Daniel knew what God had asked and that He would provide, even in a new situation. They honored God in spite of circumstances.

What does God have in store for me? He has salvation, a life free from sin, His help, and comfort. He is a refuge and healer. He offers guidance and strength.

Mark 11:24 Expect Him to respond.

James 1:6

I can have confidence that His answer is perfect. What I want may be less than what He has for me.

What could hinder or hold me back? The enemy is good at persuading me that I am not worthy and I should just settle. The devil is a master of lies. He knows what will make me accept less. Accept victory. Nothing less.

Accepting salvation wasn't about settling. It’s accepting nothing less.

Romans 12:1,2,3,9-12 Live a holy life. Don’t conform to the world and how it operates. Renew the mind. Be humble. Love without an agenda or a pretense. Abhor the evil. How am I at work? Do I have a good reputation and am known for a good wok ethic?

Romans 3:23 A sinful life is accepting less.

James 4:17 If I know to do something and don’t do it, I am accepting less.

Matthew 19:20,21,22,23 The rich young ruler accepted less.

When it’s easier to do nothing, even when the Spirit gives a nudge, I am accepting less. This applies to how I care for myself, my home, and others. It includes how I let others treat me and my attitudes and opinions.

If I have accepted less, I can repent. Was there any time I didn’t move when the Spirit spoke to me? This doesn't have to be sin. Don’t wallow and get stuck in guilt. Figure out the motive. What have my habits been? Everyone will encounter these moments at times. Be encouraged to do better going forward. Choose something different.

What would God have for me if I accepted nothing less?
