Keep Moving Forward
Exodus 14:4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 When I go forward, God has my back.
Standing still can mean that I stop panicking and trying to resolve it on my own strength. But the Isrealites likely felt stuck when they reached the sea.
Moses says to stand still. But God tells Moses to move forward. Sometimes standing still leads to being stuck in fear, doubt, weights, the past, old hurts, unforgiveness, and temptations.
Forgetting the past
Philippians 3:13,14 God doesn’t intend that I should forget everything in my life. Rather I should not focus on what would hinder me. What is in my past that is keeping me from moving forward? That is what I should leave behind and forget.
Focus on the future
Jeremiah 29:11 God has promises. God's thoughts are of peace. This is my future. God has a goal for me. I don't need to be afraid of the future.
Press On
Moving forward takes effort. A press is in front of me; it takes effort. The devil doesn’t want me to move forward. I must resist him
