Deuteronomy 4:29 If I really want God, I will find Him.

Proverbs 8:17

Where Are the Nine?

Luke 17:11,12,13,4,15,16,17,18,19

Usually I am thankful for something that has already happened. Sometimes being thankful unlocks blessings from God, even when I haven’t received it yet.

1 Thessalonians 5:16,17,18

Hebrews 13:15,16 It isn’t truly a sacrifice to give thanks for something good.

Philippians 4:6,7,8,9 Make requests with thanksgiving. I have these things to be thankful for.

Where does turmoil come from? Worry. Conflict. Problems. The unknown. Unmet expectations. Lack of control. Other people. I may think I don’t have anything to be thankful for. Thanksgiving unlocks peace.

The ten lepers may have thought there was nothing to be thankful for. They were ostracized, away from family and home. It was thought lepers were being punished by God. Jesus wanted thankfulness, even in the difficulty. Jesus gave them instructions to show themselves to the priest, even though they still appeared to have leprosy. They trusted Jesus and had faith. Sometimes God wants to see how I trust Him and if I am thankful. How much confidence do I have in God?

Thanksgiving grows. The more I am thankful, the more I am thankful. There is peace when I have a thankful heart.
