as anyone ever told you that you need an attitude adjustment? This means to change a way of thinking or perspective, maybe letting go of negative or strong opinions. Even when a driver has placed their hands on the correct spot on the steering wheel, they are constantly making small adjustments. And they must make large adjustments for a turn in the road.
Romans 12:2 Renewing of the mind is necessary, even as a Christian. Maybe something no longer serves me well. Or is a hindrance to someone else.
Worry
It is normal to worry about things: family, future, school, politics, and paying bills. Unexpected things and what-ifs are things I can't control or fix.
Matthew 6:25,26,27,28,29,30 Therefore means “pay attention to what is next”. The reality is that Christians worry. If my focus is on things in this earth I will worry and possibly feel overwhelm.
Jesus said to look to the sky. Birds are doing what God made them to do and He has provided for them. Look at His creation. Being in the outdoors can help me with obsessive worry. We are God's highest creation and He values us more than the birds.
Jesus points out that I don’t have any control over my height. There are many things that my worry and concern can’t change in my life. What am I worrying about that I can’t control?
How do I handle worry? How do I give it to God?
God has taken care in creating the animals, flowers, and grass. He cares about my everyday life more than these created things. God knows what I need. God doesn’t have a hearing or providing problem. His timing is perfect.
Do I have little faith? My faith is not strengthened when I worry, it’s weakened. I am not exercising my faith in God.
