Ephesians 6:10,11,12,13,14,15,16

Mountains

Mountains may seem to block a pathway, vision, or perspective. I want it to move, but maybe God has decided not to move it. He wants me to climb it, instead. “I will climb with you.”

Mountains can be symbols of God's power and presence, as in the case of Mt. Sinai, the Mount of Olives, Mt. Ararat, or Mount Zion.

Psalms 121:1,2

Psalms 103:12 At times, I must allow God to move a mountain of fear, discouragement, bitterness, or opinions.

Matthew 21:21 Other times, God says, “I created this mountain and I created you. I will climb with you.” Am I standing at the base, waiting for it to be removed, when God wants me to climb it?

It takes a lot of effort, preperation, training, and risk to climb Mt. Everest. It involves climbing smaller mountains first. A climber doesn't take shortcuts. I can climb by myself, but it’s better to have God as my “Sherpa,” as a guide who is experienced and knowledgeable.

Isaiah 42:2

Psalms 61:2 This requires me to look up and climb up to safety. My problems are smaller at the top of a mountain.

Climbing a mountain takes courage. Be strong and of good courage.
