A Spiritual Walk or a Fleshly Walk?

Life brings storms and upsets. Sometimes I need to know what a strong storm feels like in order to know how grounded and settled in the faith I am.

Galatians 5:25

Galatians 3:1,2,3 Paul was preaching to variety of cultures. An introduced idea had created confusion about what was necessary and what was not required.

In a congregation that was converted and consecrated, why would some choose to walk again in the flesh? It is a challenge to live a balanced life, neither fanatic (attracted to self) nor attracted to the world. The middle, balanced groud is attracted to the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 11:1

Isaiah 1:27 Natural laws govern the universe and can’t be changed. Walking in the flesh or walking in the Spirit will exhibit certain behaviors. God's judgement means righteousness, not punishment. People sometimes apply judgement and justice unfairly.

If I walk in the Spirit, I am depending on God's justice. This is not human judgement and fairness. Job, Abrabham, and Moses all struggled with understanding God's justice. It may have felt like punishment or unfair at times.

Grouchiness causes me to look at someone else as the problem. If I make this my habit and my daily walk, I find a problem in everything around me and do not consider the consequences of my own actions.

The law, which is necessary in a civil society, isn’t always interpreted fairly by humans, but it is impossible to create a just world without considering God.

Justice from heaven is always fair and balanced and includes mercy.

Galatians 5:19,20,21,22

Galatians 6:7,8 A spiritual walk is heading toward life everlasting.

There is a belief that repentance should be downplayed. Repentence is a natural law that can’t be violated. Carnality and the fleshly mind interrupts the connection with the Spirit. Repentance isn’t about punishment; it is freeing.
