1 Timothy 4:12 Students: How are your words and conversation at home and school? Charity is holy love in action toward everyone. This includes siblings and teachers.
Fully Integrated
Revelation 3:17,18,19,20,21,22 When Laodicea was ruined by an earthquake, the Roman government offered to help rebuild, but the city elected to do it on their own. This region had hot and cold springs and was known as a center of health. They rightfully thought of themselves as self-dependent, wealthy through smart choices, and healthy. This mindset was affecting their spiritual health.
A church that is overcoming is fully integrated. All the parts are working together. Jesus still sends letters to people and churches. It may be encouraging or an admonition to repent. It’s personal. Am I opening the letter that is addressed to me?
A door is a passage from one place to another. Jesus is knocking at a door. Is Jesus knocking but am I too busy to hear him or let him in?
An integrated profession of faith is one that is uninterrupted by unbelief.
James 1:8 An unstable man is partially integrated.
1 Kings 19:9,10,11,12,13 Elijah was running and not fully integrated in that moment. The voices of opposition can be loud, but these voices don’t have the right to take God's spirit and peace from me. In the quiet, God told Elijah He would work all things out.
Revelation 3:21 I have to invite Him in. He knocks and waits. Supping with someone is fully integrated; there is a connection and sharing.
Do I walk after the flesh and does it force Christ to have to knock on my door again and ask, “Am I still welcome here?” Hidden sin (willful and knowledgeable action to separate from God) will put Christ outside my "heart house."
After supping together and being fully integrated with God, I am invited to sit on the throne with Him. There isn’t room for transgression and pretense when I am sitting close to Him.
When Peter cursed, he “moved out of the throne room,” motivated by fear. God means for me to occupy the throne at all times, in all situations.
This letter was to the Church of God that was sanctified for a holy purpose. In moments of struggle, God will write a letter. He will praise us for the good we are doing because His message is for overcoming.
