Matthew 7:12 This is for everyone. This is all things. God gave us more than we deserved. We should do this for others. This is the golden rule.
What is Our Objective in Life?
A vision describes what I stand for. A mission is something I want to achieve. Objectives are time-bound, measureable and achieveable ways to accomplish a mission. All of this requires taking actions. But the actions are not the objective, they are just a way to accomplish my mission.
The church's objective should be more than just “taking action.” It is to help the world that I am living in.
Everyone chooses to do things for a reason. Is my objective more about helping myself? Humanistic and secular goals are to satisfy self and bring personal happiness. God can examine my life and give me an objective (goal) that I can work toward.
Exodus 2:23,24,25 God's goal was to get the people out of Egypt. He wanted them out of bondage and to be in the land He had promised. Egypt was not a place of choice or where the people could worship God freely. The liberty in the desert meant they could make good or bad choices. But God's promise was not that they should stay in the wildnerness.
Exodus 3:7,8
Mark 8:27,28,29,30,31 His objective in this passage is to tell His disciples about the reason He was here.
What are my goals each week? Am I taking the kingdom of God out?
2 Corinthians 5:18,19,20,21 Even if I disagree, I should still at all times have a ministry of reconciliation. Do I offer myself as an ambassador for Christ? Am I filled with the Spirit of God so I can reconcile others to God?
What’s the goal? Why am I here? How am I measuring my achievement? What grade am I giving myself? Is the Holy Spirit filling my temple?
