God's Promises

Proverbs 18:10 One the roles of a father is to be a protector. God is a shield, friend, guide, and companion. He is a strong tower. He provides safety. We can all run to this same tower.

It is not a sign of weakness to trust in God. It isn’t a crutch. It takes resolve and strength to trust.

Everyone uses something or some substance to get through the hard places. I can use prayer and direction and help from God. God's help will bring me through these times with victory and as a shining light to others.

Going to prayer isn’t always about making requests or thanking God. Sometimes it’s about thinking, listening, and asking, “How are you guiding me? How should I handle this?”

Nothing can separate me from God.

The world has a way of having an impact and influence. The evil may seem like it’s surrounding me, but nothing can separate from the love of God.

Romans 8:35,36,37,38,39 Nothing I will face today or tomorrow will pull me away from God.

He will never leave or forsake me.

Hebrews 13:5,6 I may not fully appreciate this until I go through something really deep. Even if things are taken away from me, God is still there with me. Through the tests and trials, He doesn’t leave.

1 Corinthians 10:13 The enemy suggests one is isolated and different, but others have faced these same fears and insecurities. Even though I may not always feel His presence, He is watching. He is not allowing the enemy free rein; he will not be allowed to overwhelm me. He will make a way of escape. This is so I can bear the temptation or situation.

James 4:7,8 The promises are true, but they come with conditions and requirements. My faith must be exercised. I have to submit myself to God's will.

When the enemy tried distort the Word of God to tempt, Jesus used the Word with confidence. Sometimes I have to tell Satan to flee more than once.

If I draw nigh to God, He will draw nigh to me.
