1 Peter 3:14
The Great Commission
Matthew 28:16,17,18,19,20
Mark 16:14,15,16,17,18
After Jesus was resurrected and met with the disciples again, he referred to some that doubted. Their doubt was a natural response.
Doubt is not always damaging. Anyone can have a moment where there is insufficient faith. I can ask Jesus to work with what I have.
If my doubts run to unbelief and if I am comfortable with doubt and unbelief, it can produce hardness of heart.
The disciples doubted that Jesus had risen. He needed them to believe it because He had work for them to do.
Satan wants to divide from each other and from God. Satan wants to frustrate Godly efforts.
Am I going out with my opinion or the truth and power of God? Am I going out with doubt, belief, and hardness of heart?
An army will not be willing to fight and conquer unless it believes in the mission.
The great commission is to be an ambassador for the power of Christ.
1 Samuel 17:26,27,28,29 There is a cause - we live in a world of people who need God. Go out and teach! Represent the power of Jesus.
The commission is to open my mouth so I can see people converted. It’s not to make others like me. Jesus didn’t commission the disciples to design the Gospel according to their opinion before going out.
Don’t become a Christian fossil. Be stirred by God. A fossil isn’t pliable. One way to not become a fossil is to move.
Matthew 28:19 Power came first. Therefore, go out and teach.
Don’t be complacent - there is always someone in danger who needs me to reach out to them. If I am not convinced I won’t teach and those around me will not be converted.
