Luke 18:9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17 Jesus specifically designed this parable for those that trusted in themselves, were self-righteous, and despised others. Being delivered from sin doesn’t make me better than anyone else. This is the work of God. These thought of themselves holier than they need to think. Their confidence was in themselves and not in God.

Why do I come to church? It’s not about how you come, it’s how you leave. The house of God is about God meeting me where I am and solving problems. Two men came but only one left right with God. The publican returned to his home a changed man.
