We continue our study on temptation and how to overcome temptation as a Christian.
We expanded on some of the previous lessons thoughts, with a focus more on understanding that we WILL be tested (tempted) as a Christian and that we need not to make things harder for ourselves by being careless or undisciplined. Carelessness (or not paying attention to your surroundings or your situation) is a key element in finding ourselves in a place that the tempation is harder than it needs to be. When we are careful, God assures us that we will not be tempted above that which we are able to bear and that He that is within us is greater than he that is in the world.
As we walk circumspectly and resist temptation, (even though sometimes the tempatations come in waves or like a flood) we will be able to rejoice in the victory that God gives us. The closer we draw to God and the more we excercise our senses to discern good and evil, the quicker we will be able to put the enemy to flight.
Remember that there is no temptation taken us but such as is common to man and God with the temptation will make a way to escape. We can resist the Devil, rely on Gods grace and keep the victory.
