Class Notes from 9/9 and 9/16 The essence of the message was that we need to support the ministry and understand that they are the watchman on the wall who look out for our Soul . Jeremiah 23:4 – The Pastor is the Under Shepard that God has appointed and anointed to feed the flock of God
Ezekiel 33:1-7, Gods chosen watchman has an awesome responsibility to watch for the Soul. Nevertheless, it is the flocks responsibility to listen to the Watchman. If the watchman sees a danger and does not warn the flock then the blood of those who are taken by that danger are on the hands of the Watchman. However, if the Watchman warns the flock of God and they do not take heed, then that mans blood will be on his own head. Jeremiah 3:15 – God will appoint Shepard’s that will feed us, but we are the ones that must come to the table with an appetite, we must be willing to feed on what God has provided for us (we need to have a spiritual appetite). Acts 20:28 Christ bought the Church, the Pastors main objective is to feed the Church of God (the flock) Galatians 1: 6-9 – those who are removed by false teachings will be lost and those who preach fall teachings are accursed. II Corinthians 11:4-6 Paul preached the Gospel. And Christ is to be preached – this is supported in Acts 8:5, Acts 8:35, Acts 9:20, Acts 10:36, 1st Corinthians 1:23-24, and II Corinthians 4:4. Jeremiah 6:17 – We need to hearken to the sound of the trumpet. Hebrews 13:17 – we need to obey and submit to our Pastors as they watch for our souls as they must give an account when they stand before the Lord. 1st Timothy 3: 1-5 – requirements for Pastors Ezekiel 34:1-6 – There is a penalty for Pastors who are not good under-Shepard’s and do not feed the flock.
