How much of our daily tasks can be completed when one can only offer excuse after excuse for its completion? If "goals to achieve" in ones day to day living are excused or ignored, the quality of that person’s life is slowly diminished with little to no change in outcomes. That being said, how much of an opportunity can a group of people miss out on, when a more important goal (helping others understand their need for Christ) is passed up for more selfish pleasures, the answer,  a huge loss, a loss far more important than trivial excuses for daily achievement.

God himself, wishes all excuses to remain minimal when balancing your own life, and winning souls. He wishes his house be full, and strives to see his people figure out how to get past what would prevent the mission.

We should all do our best to learn from the individuals found in Luke 14. This story explains the importance of remaining focused on the mission, and casting out excuses. If we make excuses, somebody else will have to carry out the mission.
