Key to a Successful Life! Print E-mail

Two Key Points to enjoy a Successful Life

Give of yourself – If you give of yourself and put something into "life" you will reap bountifully. You will only achieve as much as you are willing to put into it, be it life, relationships, work or school. 2 Corinthians 9:6 Not only do we need to give of our self, but we need to give our self, our will, our life to service with God. He will bless, provide, care, comfort us in ways that we cannot imagine. A successful life requires us sacrificing our self to follow God in all our ways.

This to Shall Pass Print E-mail

How big is God? How big is YOUR God? What has he done for you? The world? Your neighbor? What can he do? Does he have limitations? Is there something to big or hard for him to handle?

God wants us to remember how big he is. He spoke everything that we see into existence. Can you take that in? Think about it. All that is around you came into being because God said it out loud. He said "Let there be light" and there was light. He has ALL power.

Beware of the Spirit of Unbelief Print E-mail

Beware of the Spirit of Unbelief

Hebrews 3:16-4:16

For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Compassion is a mixed passion between love and sorrow Print E-mail

Compassion is a mixed passion between love and sorrow. It is not something that comes easily, but something we need to work at. Many times it is when we are upset and angry about a situation that we need to show compassion. We need to look past the hurt and wrong actions and act with love and compassion.

Perception of Higher Expectations Print E-mail
Monday, 15 June 2009 05:43

Have you ever been pressured to do something more for God when you felt like you were doing all that you could? Maybe you are in school while trying to hold down a job. Or maybe you are a busy mom who is trying to do your best for your family, even if it means working to make ends meet. You have a burden to see souls receive help, yet your schedule is chaotic and your only free time is found in sleep. However every opportunity you have you try to share the gospel and reach out to those around you. Because this is a daily outreach that no one sees, those around you that have the ability to be apart of organized works, may speak out an expectation in a manner that would belittle those that aren’t able to take part in their specific work. While their intent is not to cause doubt or discouragement, they merely want to remind those that are able to give a hand, let’s remember that the perception of higher expectations does not define the hope that we have with in us.

Promised Hope Print E-mail

Promised Hope

When we are going through trials or hard times in life, we can gain comfort from the scriptures. Romans 15:1-5 reads, “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, the reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:” We read the promise, that with patience and comfort received from the scriptures, the word of God, we can have or rest in hope. Even if God doesn’t bring an immediate answer to our need, we can have hope and believe that he will provide.

Human Metamorphous Print E-mail

Human Metamorphous

When God saves us, we undergo metamorphous becoming a new creature, putting aside the old man with its habits, thoughts, and behaviors and acquiring new habits, thoughts and behaviors that are more becoming a child of God. Ephesians 4 verses 17 through 32 itemize what needs to be replaced.

Evidence of Christ in You Print E-mail

"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Ephesians 4: 23-24

When God in His mercy delivers you from sin, there are external and internal changes. The way you were before God saved you, needs to be different from the way you are after His merciful work is done. Ephesians 4:17-24 exhorts us to let go of our old ways, our old attitudes, our old influences, and to adopt the spirit and mind of Christ. Our change in attitude, the way we talk, and even the way we dress is evidence of Christ abiding in us. Let the shedding of the old man be a testimony to the world of our salvation

Seeking For Opportunities Print E-mail

Matthew 25: 31 – 46 is a description of the last day, when Jesus comes back to judge the
lives of each and every one of us. As we prepare for that day, we need to be careful to pay
attention to the things that are important to God, living a full salvation and not just the
bits and pieces that sound good or easy.
