 The young adult class is co-taught by Karen & Dan Sanders who have been serving God since 1985 teaching, working for God, and being involved in some capacity for the better part of twenty years.
“Karen and I see it as having the privilege of working with the young adult class. Having been introduced to God and ultimately being saved in our mid twenties, we have an appreciation of the struggles, challenges, and effort required to serve God in the world we live in today. Our goal is to address the needs of where young adults are today, having raised two girls and experienced first hand the reality of these struggles and challenges we teach with the desire to encourage young adults in the things of God. We realize young people are presented with many choices and tempted on literally every side,I Cor 10:13 tells us, 'but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.'” Dan was saved in 1985 with little or no knowledge of religion yet from the age of a young boy he possessed a tender heart towards the things of God and was being drawn by the Holy Spirit. After several weeks of bible study and having witnessed the lives of Gods people God dealt with him personally and helped him to see his need to repent while on a young married camping trip. Thus he turned away from all known wrong, anything less would only have been a religious profession. Karen knew something of God but unfortunately being a part of religion, as so many today, had not experienced first hand the power of deliverance from sin. Thus she too was brought to a place wherein God dealt with her heart and she too bowed at an altar of prayer and gave her heart to God and received complete transformation from the world and those things that so easily beset us. “We invite all young adults to come and share in the joy of serving God while carrying a burden for the lost and being a help to others.” |
