Religion has sold the world the thought, "sin you will, sin you must" and that they are only "sinners saved by grace." They never effectively promote that you can get the victory over sin. Unbelief is an evil seductive spirit that has the power to destroy souls. You can show people very plainly in the word of God that they must not live in sin:

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Romans 6:1-2

"What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" Romans 6:15-16

... Yet the unbelief spirit is so powerful, that their hearts are hardened, and they don’t accept it as God’s word. Because of what they have been hardened in, (in the unbelief of religion,) -they think, “how can all these people be lost and just a few be saved”. (A brother that now is a teacher and minister had that same thought, before his salvation, and the Lord rebuked him for that thought.)

Today our battle with the spirit of unbelief is increasing. Salvation can only be a reality in the soul that is willing to take the gospel and believe what the Lord says and what He means to do. There are no excuses for anybody not taking the full gospel. It is only through unwavering belief that the Lord saves, changes, and keeps His children's hearts.
