Wouldn't you like your middle school teenage children to hear lessons that will help them as they face the difficult situations and temptations of our day? Local neighborhood kids having fun at a splash party! Bible lessons are taught, in age-appropriate classes, that encourage them to make good decisions and that promote Christian values, and that prepare them to be a benefit to their families, their schools, and the community. Middle school students are often ill-prepared for the social and school pressures placed upon them. At a time in their lives when there is a "void" of understanding concerning the changes going on in their bodies and social-consciousness, they are suddenly "uprooted" from the smaller social community of the elementary school they are familiar with and are "thrown" into a middle school environment where everything is new, unfamiliar and "threatening". They must quickly adjust to: new social pressures, new friends, and a new impersonal method of school that contains schedules of different classes and many teachers. All of this often "alienates" the child and it is no wonder so many lose their proper direction during this time in their life. Having Bible teachers that understand and sincerely care about the welfare of these children is critical to helping to "counter-balance" all the other influences that can overwhelm them. The Church of God teachers understand that the answer to "keeping the right focus" and not losing direction is by establishing a sure foundation in Jesus Christ. When these children have a personal relationship with Christ, they don't have to face the middle school pressures alone. The can have a deep-rooted assurance in the love of their heavenly father to keep, direct, and satisfy them.
