Wouldn't you like your middle school teenage children to hear lessons that will help them as they face the difficult situations and temptations of our day? Local neighborhood kids having fun at a splash party! Bible lessons are taught, in age-appropriate classes, that encourage them to make good decisions and that promote Christian values, and that prepare them to be a benefit to their families, their schools, and the community. Middle school students are often ill-prepared for the social and school pressures placed upon them. At a time in their lives when there is a "void" of understanding concerning the changes going on in their bodies and social-consciousness, they are suddenly "uprooted" from the smaller social community of the elementary school they are familiar with and are "thrown" into a middle school environment where everything is new, unfamiliar and "threatening". They must quickly adjust to: new social pressures, new friends, and a new impersonal method of school that contains schedules of different classes and many teachers. All of this often "alienates" the child and it is no wonder so many lose their proper direction during this time in their life. Having Bible teachers that understand and sincerely care about the welfare of these children is critical to helping to "counter-balance" all the other influences that can overwhelm them. The Church of God teachers understand that the answer to "keeping the right focus" and not losing direction is by establishing a sure foundation in Jesus Christ. When these children have a personal relationship with Christ, they don't have to face the middle school pressures alone. The can have a deep-rooted assurance in the love of their heavenly father to keep, direct, and satisfy them. |

This is a critical time in the lives of young people because they are setting a course that will impact the rest of their lives. The true Gospel, taught by adults that deeply care about their students and that are seasoned in the guidance and training of young people, is also of critical importance. At the Church of God you will find people who truly care and that take a very active role in teaching and influencing young people in the ways of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today's teen and young adult culture is riddled with alcohol, drugs, sex, violence, and the promotion of future goals centered around self and selfishness. Jesus is not allowed in the high schools, colleges, and the workplace, except in a manner that is for debate or social meetings. At the Church of God we are serious about serving God and promoting the true cause of our Lord Jesus Christ: the salvation of souls young and old by a complete deliverance from sin. This is the only sure foundation for any young person or adult to build their lives upon.
Deep inside, many young people are actually seeking for some kind of assurance and guidance concerning a lasting companionship and relationship in a marriage and a family. But there is extremely little in modern day culture and religion that will provide what it takes to have the assurance and guidance needed. The Church of God sets a sure foundation that starts with introducing them to full salvation through faith and trust in Jesus Christ. This critical heart-change is the fundamental "first step" left out by modern day religion. No social program or Internet personality evaluation will discover the true affections and intents of the heart. Only God's Word and his Spirit can search out the heart and provide the love and power to set it in the right direction. Because when hearts become faithful and true to Christ, they will also be faithful and true to one another. |

The pressures upon adults these days can be overwhelming: raising: children, teenagers, young adults, along with the constant increase in pressures from work, rising prices, crime in the neighborhood, identity theft, etc., and then, to top it off, the constant barrage of advertising and solicitation to convince you to be discontent and buy something new. It is very easy to lose your focus on what is really important. It is too easy today to neglect and lose the most valuable thing you posses - your eternal soul! At the Church of God we care first about your soul and your relationship with God.
In our adult classes you will find teachers that themselves have established a testimony of personal devotion and faithfulness to serving Christ. They don't subscribe to a headquarters somewhere or a book publisher for their lessons, but in their lives and personal devotions they pray and seek direction from the Word and God's Holy Spirit for teaching and instructing their class. You will find that they will be frank and honest with you concerning the Gospel and your soul needs. Jesus said: "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works." (Matt 16:26-27) The eternal reward for the neglect of the soul and not serving Christ is to be forever lost in eternity. But even in this life there is a reward we receive according to the works we have done. The Word of God instructs us: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Gal 6:7) If we neglect attention to God's will as taught from his word, you can be sure there will be many consequences. Our personal and business successes will not outweigh the "reaping" that will come soon from our neglect. Take time to visit us in class and you will find that you will be inspired to search out you own soul's need and find and keep that which can only satisfy: a faithful love relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ! |
