There is a song that we sing at the Church of God and part of it is this:
"Tis the kingdom of peace and its reigning within, it shall ever increase in my soul. We posses it right here when we're saved from all sin, and t'will last till the ages shall roll."
"The kingdom of peace." What a blessing!! How can we ever not be thankful for that peace. When you are in sin, you don't have peace. There is no such thing. You see people constantly seeking that peace. They go to the mountains, do yoga, meditation, physchiatrists, friends, family, there are so many things to name that people are seeking their peace in. But the kingdom of peace comes from being saved from sin- when Jesus takes all of your sin and washes it away! What a blessing!! Praise God! You recieve such a peace. No more heaviness from the burden of sin. Oh the burden of sin! It is so heavy! The only one who can lift that burden of sin is Jesus. Nothing else can do that for you. He will give you that "kingdom of peace." Your soul will be at rest. How sweet of God to have given us that!
"We possess it right here!" Here and now we can have what people are searching for-true peace. But there is one condition; you must be saved from sin. Its reigning within! Is peace reigning in your soul? If you are honest with yourself, you can know whether you really have peace. How sweet it is to have that reigning in your soul. It will last! Jesus will keep us and help us to stay saved, Praise God!
