Sometimes I wonder why I chose to seek God as my last choice for solving the problems of life. I guess it is because I did not have faith to believe that God could help me with the difficulties of my life, my discontentment, and even my bitterness. It is also possible that I had never seen someone go through their difficulties with God. Truly I had never seen anyone pray about an urgent problem and get an answer or resolution from God.

As a young girl I never felt like I quite fit in with my peers. I was reserved and awkward and of such a sensitive nature that I was easily targeted as the brunt of jokes and jesting. Consequently my self confidence steadily waned to a degree that it was as if the word “FAILURE” were stamped across my forehead.

I have said and I have heard said many times, "come hear the truth" or "we teach the truth" or "the truth is spoken here" or "we live in the truth".

I began attending Church as an adult in 1993 wanting what I thought God wanted from me. I had a new family and I had been given the power to overcome my chronic addictions to alcohol, drugs and all sorts of sin. My language was being cleaned up. Only if I REALLY needed to make a point, then I would to revert back to the great 4 letter words of exclamation.

What has helped me stay saved and continue to walk with God, is to stay rooted in his foundation.
